Question by HandcuffedWifey: Do you have the Home Depot Consumer Credit Card? How is it? What’s your limit?
Applied for the Home Depot Consumer Credit Card this evening.. I’ve scanned through several reviews, but would like more. Our credit is good. We’ve never missed a payment, ever, in several years of having credit history. All payments have been on time and over the expected amount. We’re simply adding additional credit line to improve credit. We were told it would be a good idea to do so. How is this card? What was your approved credit limit? Have you had any problems? Thanks in advance.

Answer by R T
I’ve had one since 1999. Currently the limit is set at $ 8,500. I’ve never had any problems with it, however I only use it to take advantage of promotions (e.g. six months same as cash).

Question by sarah: Does canceling a credit card application before it is approved or denied going to affect my credit?
I know that canceling an open card tin adversely affect credit. But I canceled the actual application process, minutes after I applied. I had hop to get instant approval to get a big discount on an airline ticket, but as a student and my little income they would have had to do a full background credit check (which would have gotten me the card), but I didn’t have time to wait to buy the ticket, so I wanted to cancel.

Best answer:

Answer by My Take on It
Since you didn’t get the instant approval, my guess is, you submitted the application, and they did the hard pull on your credit already. So, you have an inquiry which is less than 10 points on your score. Cancelling the application at this point probably won’t erase the inquiry that has already occurred.

Good luck on that one. When I opened my business, it seemed as if I got at least three a day and endless phone named! When I asked my accountant about it, he said there is no way for businesses to choose out. I know it sucks

Reputable? Then be sure and check them out with the BBB first. Another suggestion would be if you have a house try to get a home equity loan to consolidate…Wells Fargo is a good bank.

Question asked by Regina England : How Consumer Credit Counseling or debt affects credit rating I postulate to know how to counsel consumer ascribe rating. Please actually affect my credit let me answer savoirMeilleure : Answer by Ani

Your credit score is affected by two things. Your payments and your debt to income ratio. So if you have never been late on anything but your debt is increasing, and finally your scroll begin to fall. Many people are so concerned about their credit score and prefer to drown in debt that have affected their score. This is why many people are against any solution to the debt market. It’s like asking why someone has a perfect lawn, but the house she not be able to live. There are many debt programs out there that can help get rid of debt, but there are many scams out there too. Each as its advantages and disadvantages, and honestly, not all affect your score. Some may even help in the long term. All solutions to indebtedness is the job, but they do not work for everyone. Meaning, you need to find a solution that is right for your situation and needs of dette.J ‘had used to work for a firm of debt management for many years, but after leaving my child. Question by A Brewer: Is there a forseeable end to the present tightening of consumer credit standards?
In the wake of the current situation regarding large bank write-offs, at what point will lenders again provide consumers with credit that wouldn’t presently qualify? Not credit cards, but auto loans for example. I’m in the process of repairing my credit which has a low rating and adverse history. What macroeconomic factored are affecting when determining whether banks and lenders provide credit to borrowers on a large scale?

Best answer:

Answer by te144
Standards not probably, but interests will probably come down again before the end of year. Sorry for your predictament. Hope you have a nice vacationing. Factors involved in loosening standards generally precedes or closely follows weakening eco conditions which we seem to be approaching. The Fed’s two-month ago 2% reduction in overrnight rate didn’t do the job.
