Question by ram2k21: icici gold credit teased application declined?
my icici application for gold credit card has been declined , can i apply for silver card ? or should i wait for 6 months to reapply again.

Best answer:

Answer by Jeremy Kitching
You could apply again right away, but know that it will affect your FICO score. Applying for several cards in a short period of time will knock the score down a bit. I would recommend waiting at least 6 months before applying for another card. You might want to (if you haven’t already) get a copy of your three credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com and check them to see if there is anything on there that could be removed or cleaned up.For some excellent information on credit repair, check out the following web site:http://www.creditinfocenter.com/repair/

Will the next credit crisis be the result of Consumer Credit Ratings.?

Question by Joe in texas: Will the next credit crisis be the result of Consumer Credit Ratings.?
How does a system make sense that uses a scale for 350 to 850. Credit bureaus decide how risky you are without knowing how much money or property you have or what your income is! That means you could have a better credit rating than a millionaire earning 500 thousand a year. You could owe more than you have in equity and if you pay your bills on time your credit rating is great. Does this make sense?

Best answer:

Answer by Craig T
Its obvious from your question that you don’t understand credit scores.

Question by foxypie016: How to cite a credit card application?
I’m doing a persuasive speech on why people should get a Gap Card. Does anyone know how I would source the application? Because that’s where all the information is, and I need to put it in my works cited, because that’s my only source!

Best answer:

Answer by CanProf
Cite it by the title of the application, whatever it calls itself “Application for Credit” or something like that. It has no author but it might have a date on it as a date of publication

Will participating in Consumer Credit Counseling affect my credit score negatively in any way?

Question by Steven C: Will participating in Consumer Credit Counseling affect my credit score negatively in any way?

Best answer:

Answer by Toodeemo
Absolutely. Any time there is an accomodation or payment that settles or otherwise compromises the original terms and ocnditions of the contract of repayment, there is going to be a negative report. In theory, the creditor can not agree not to report negative information. Most CCC programs require you to be in default before they will accept you, and most repayment programs by definition intending you are paying while in default. The question is, will making the payments for a lower amount be good in the long jogging than just allowing the fail to continue, become more serious, without payment. For most people, the CCC programs are the better choice. But not all.

Question by KS: Has anyone ever used American Consumer Credit Counseling?
I got the name of the company from a financial advisor, but I’m very wearing about using a debt consolidating company since I always here such horrible stories. Question by roberta1126: Can a collection agency pull a consumer’s credit report after the debt is past statute of limitations?
It is listed as a hard credit inquiry on debt that is past statute of limitations for both reporting and legal collection. It is past the sol on credit reporting and is time-barred for collection through the courts.

Best answer:

Answer by swflsteelerfan
Pay attention closely. Credit can be pulled from any and all agencies regardless of length of time. Most if not all companies will sell their old debt to another collection agency, thus keeping the old debt still active, regardless of time.

Is there an honest rating of consumer credit counseling services out there?

Question by Mini Midas: Is there a honest rating of consumer credit counseling services out there?

Best answer:

Answer by Steveo
Yes, and it’s from the FTC. If you mean credit repair services, then the FTC says that they are all scams. They make suggestions on where to find logical companies and such. Just beware. You can’t find too many sources that will be as good as this paper for a honest rating.
